Description Using a palette knife on this oil on canvas, I wanted to create a figure just from marks. To create the marks, I would do a mixture of pushing and pulling the paint. Sometimes I would scrape the paint to make the desired mark. To build layers, I would let the paint dry for a little bit before returning to it and making more marks. I felt that the marks were reminiscent of autumn leaves.
